Tottenham set new Champions League record with win over Red Star Belgrade.

Tottenham take out their anger on Belgrade with an impressive 5-0 win and record their biggest win ever in the Champions League.

The Tottenham we all know and love are back and it's all chill for Pochettino and his players after pitiful displays against Bayern and Brighton followed by a frustrating draw against Watford in the last two weeks.

Tottenham have been winless in all competitions since they were thrashed by Bayern München and they had to find the path back to winning ways before things got out of hand.

The New White Hart Lane received Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday night for an entertaining encounter which saw Tottenham record their biggest win ever in the Champions League.

Harry Kane gave Tottenham an early lead with a glancing header into the far post from an Erik Lamela in-swinging corner which increased his goal tally to 3 in 3 matches.

Not too long after Heung-Min Son doubled their lead with a tap-in from a beautiful Erik Lamela cross from the other side of the 18-yard box.

Lamela nearly scored a goal of his own but the ball was parried around the crossbar for a Tottenham corner by Borjan.

In the 43rd minute, Tanguy Ndombele dispossessed his opponent on the half way line and went on to set up Son for his second goal of the game. Though Borjan could have done better by making himself big but he left to much space on the ground for Son to wrap it around him and into the bottom corner of the near post.

Lamela tested the goal two more times before finally (after 9 and a half minutes into the second half) making a breakthrough and scoring from a low pass from Aurier which he hit into the top corner to make it 4 for Tottenham.

Son also tried to make in 5 for Tottenham and three for him but the ball whisked past the post for a goal kick.

However, in the 73rd minute Tottenham scored their fifth goal of the match. Harry Kane literally passed the ball into the far post past two defenders and Borjan to score his second goal of the game.

This can be classified as a routine win for Tottenham who look to be back to their best after a few rough patches.

Is this enough for Pochettino to redeem himself????, Can Tottenham keep this form going????.
