Fruits 'n' smoothies


"Don't take soft drinks, they are bad for your health", " you're taking soft drinks again".
Let's face it, a lot of us hear this every time we open a bottle of soft drink.

Yes, too much soft drink isn't good for you which is why you should opt for water. But you can't live on water forever. Besides you need just the right amount of sugar to provide you with energy. Water will only keep you hydrated.
But there's something that is healthy and would provide you with "just the right amount of sugar" you need.

Hamzat lateefat, CEO of fruityglam fruits and 200 level student of  the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) from the department of Hospitality and Tourism (HTM), is one of those that believe that healthy drinks should be a substitute for soft drinks. Healthy drinks like fruit juices, mocktails, smoothies etc.

According to her, fruit and vegetable drink provide you with as much nutrient and vitamins much more than you can even get in other types of food consumed and then saves you the cost of taking medications as it keeps the body fit.
Aside from the regular weight loss and fat burning purposes (yes, healthy drinks help burn fat), juice and smoothies helps to improve overall health of an individual, provide energy, improve sleeping habit, stronger immune system, helps rejuvenate brighter skin and a younger appearance.

There are quite a lot of fruits you could combine to burn fat and loss weight, most essential are the leafy greens as bases combined with some sweet flavoured fruits to enhance the taste.

For instance orange, apple, pineapple, banana and ginger. This is a good combination.
All you have to do is blend all ingredients till it's smooth and serve cold.

Smoothies can be taken anytime any day or even after meals.
Don't forget to always drink healthy and reduce soda intake and other carbonated drinks.
You are what you drink.
