Brazil vs Nigeria : Super Eagles hold on to grab a well-deserved draw in Singapore.

Joe Aribo in action.

No wins in three matches for Brazil meant they had to win this match by all means possible, but Nigeria had some tricks up their sleeves and were well prepared for the encouter as well even though the bookies had heavily predicted Brazil to win @ 1.22 odds, giving Nigeria a near to impossible win @ 15.00 odds and a draw @ 5.50 odds.

The Brazilian star-man Neymar Jr. was taken off in the 11th minute of the match due to injury and was replaced with Philippe Coutinho.

Brazil dominated the match early on and Roberto Firmino got an early chance but the ball rolled a few centimeters off the right-hand post. Nigeria were building up some momentum of their own and Victor Osimhen had his low strike pushed away from goal by Ederson and cleared by Thiago Silva.

Nigeria took the lead in the 35th minute with a well placed shot from Joe Aribo after a nice assist from Moses Simon from the left wing. The rest of the first half saw both teams have some chances created but none converted.

The second half kicked off and it only took Brazil 3 minutes to equalize. A scramble for the ball in the Nigerian 18-yard box from a Philippe Coutinho corner kick lead to Casemiro equalizing for Brazil and the scores were level again.

A brazil chance at goal saw Richarlison's header ricochet off the crossbar and the Nigerian goal keeper Francis Uzoho landing awkwardly while trying to catch the ball. He was taken off and replaced with Maduka Okoye the second choice keeper.

Brazil dominated the rest of the match with Nigeria also creating some chances but all in all no chance was converted from either team and the match ended all square.
