CONVOCATION CEREMONY OF THE FEDRAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE ABEOKUTA 2018/2019 ACADEMIC SESSION.
The federal University Of Agriculture Abeokuta held her 27th convocation service today at the University ceremonial building.
A total number of 3,226 student who completed their programmes for the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 academic sessions bagged different degrees. This was revealed by the vice chancellor himself; Prof. Felix Salako.
The University also graduated a total number of 112 First Class Degree students today on their honor with Ms. Odunsi Odunayo Esther emerging as the overall best graduating student for the academic session from the department of Aquaculture and FisheManagement(AQFM).
As expected, the school premises was filled with families, friends and well wishes who came from all parts of the country to felicitate with the graduates.
There was plenty to eat and drink, loud musics everywhere, cars parked all over the places and traffic jam. For the undergraduates, this is one of their best days in campus as those present had a lot to eat, drink and take home; so much 'free food' as some would call it. It was as also a time of reunion for the graduate as they met with their friends once again after a quite period of time.
Our correspondent from Jossay's blog had a chat with one of the graduate (who wouldn't like to disclose his identity) said; " I'm so grateful to God for giving me the privilege to witness this day. Having gained admission in 2013, resumed lectures in 2014, was supposed to graduate in 2018 but for the strike, graduated in 2019 and now convocating in 2020, I just can't contain the joy". When asked what advice he has for the undergraduates, he said, "I'll advise the undergraduates to study hard, pray to your God and study smart then the sky will be your limit".
