US Places $7m Bounty On Boko Haram Leader, Shekau

US government places N2.5 billion on Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau. [Daily Post]

The U.S. Department of State disclosed its offerings of up to $7 million ( 2.5billion in naira) for information leading to boko haram leader arrest.

This was made known in a tweet posted by the Department official twitter account on Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

Shekau became the leader of the terrorist group after the killing of the former leader Mohammed Yusuf, in 2009.
